About Flourish
So let's start by telling you a bit about us
We are the people who support and supervise your foster parents whilst they do the important work of looking after you. It is our job to make sure you have everything you need to flourish and grow.
If you’re scared, or angry, or sad, or even if you’re happy, you can talk to someone from Flourish and let them know what is going on with you. You have a right to ask questions and be happy in your home. If you are having difficulties or you’re worried about something, you can tell a number of people at Flourish.
Young person's guides
We’ve put together a guide for you that is full of lots of information on what you can expect during your time at Flourish. You can print these out or log on to the website to download them in case you need to have a look back.
It’s quite important that you have a read of your guide, so you know everything you need to.
Flourish's Aspire Programme
At Flourish, we offer something special called the Aspire Programme. This programme has been created to empower and support you as you work towards your goals, dreams, and future plans.
The Aspire Programme focuses on four important areas: Independence, Education, Participation, and Youth Work. Each area is designed to help you grow in confidence, build new skills, and reach your full potential.
During your time with Flourish, we want to give you as many opportunities as possible.
Our team is here to help with a wide range of things, including:
- Supporting you to develop your independence skills
- Helping to explore post 16 options, including higher education, apprenticeships, university and/or employment
- Developing confidence, resilience, and communication skills
- Opportunities for you to contribute your ideas and help effect changes throughout the organisation
- Sharing exciting opportunities with external organisations, such as overseas expeditions and university experiences.
- Learning about your rights and entitlements
The Aspire Team also organises lots of exciting events, including online games night, seasonal parties, debate club, Youth Panel and Youth Forum. The Youth Forum is a group for older children who meet during the school holidays to take part in activities, share their ideas, and have a say in how we can make Flourish even better.
